Hearing Aid services across North Wales have been postponed.
Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board has announced that its Open Access Service at its three main hospitals and volunteering service in the community have been postponed.
This is part of the board’s plans to begin postponing non-urgent operations, procedures, and outpatient appointments, to focus resources on caring for an expected increase in COVID-19 patients who need hospital care.
The Hearing Aid Open Access Service at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Wrexham Maelor Hospital and Ysbyty Gwynedd are closed with immediate effect.
Essential hearing aid repairs will continue using the postal repair service.
If you are having difficulties and feel you cannot manage you can contact the Audiology departments and a clinician will be able to contact you and provide advice and arrange for the device to be sent into the hospital for repair if required.
