Just four positive cases of coronavirus were reported in Ceredigion today as vaccinations begin around the UK, figures from Public Health Wales show.

The four new cases on Tuesday add to the 21 reported on Monday.

The total number of cases for the seven days between 29 November and 5 December, the most recent week-long period available, is listed as 120.

Ceredigion has now seen 632 positive cases since 7 September, and 719 overall since the beginning of the pandemic.

Ceredigion continues to see the lowest number of figures of any local authority Wales-wide, despite an outbreak in Cardigan that made it one of the hardest hit areas in Wales over the past 21 days.

Powys saw 121 positive cases over the same seven day period, with 12 new cases reported on Tuesday.
