Bronglais Hospital’s new MRI scanner has been installed after it was delivered on Sunday.

Ceredigion AM Elin Jones has welcomed the fact the new scanner is finally in place.

She said: “After a long campaign, I’m really pleased that the new MRI scanner for Bronglais is now in place.

“This is a real boost to both patients and staff in the Aberystwyth area because it will lessen the journeys expected of patients but will also provide state of the art scanning equipment for staff in Bronglais.

“This is a positive statement by the health board and Welsh Government that Bronglais is a key hospital for the whole of mid Wales.

“New investment in Bronglais will also be hugely influential in helping recruitment efforts for staff into Bronglais.”
