Wales has recorded nearly 1,400 new cases of coronavirus today – but no new deaths.

Across the country, 1,393 new cases have been recorded today, according to the latest figures released this lunchtime by Public Health Wales.

Ceredigion has recorded 23 cases today with 62 being reported in Carmarthenshire and 34 in Pembrokeshire.

Gwynedd has recorded 61 new cases today and Powys has recorded 47.

The rate of infection across Wales currently stands at 306.1 cases per 100,000 population.

No new deaths have been recorded today according to official figures with the death toll since the start of the pandemic in March 2020 remaining at 5,658.
