THREE covid cases have been confirmed among staff at Greenacres Holiday Park in Morfa Bychan near Porthmadog, it has been reported.

Staff members at the site have been told to self-isolate as a result but all facilities at the popular holiday park remain open.

A spokesperson for Greenacres has been quoted as saying: "We can confirm that we have had three recent cases of Covid-19 at Greenacres.

"On receipt of the news, we took all necessary measures to ensure that any risk was minimised straight away.

“All of these team members are isolating, and as a precaution we have isolated other team members in accordance with NHS Track and Trace guidelines.

"The safety of our guests, owners and team remains our number one and we are working closely with the local Environmental Health team.

"All facilities remain open on park as normal.

"We understand that this may be unsettling for our guests and owners but would like to reassure them that our park remains safe and operational with strictly followed protocols covering hygiene, social distancing and PPE firmly in place.

"Should future guests have any concerns about their upcoming breaks, they will be covered by our Coronavirus Book with Confidence Guarantee which allows them to cancel their break up to three days ahead of arrival should it be affected by coronavirus and receive a full refund."
