CEREDIGION has reported three new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, according to official statistics.

In the figures released this afternoon by Public Health Wales, three more cases of Covid-19 have been identified in the county, taking the total of cases since the pandemic began in March up to 77 with 4,831 being conducted.

Carmarthenshire and Powys have both also recorded three new cases each in the past 24 hours and Pembrokeshire has recorded one new case.

No new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Gwynedd.

Carmarthenshire has now reported 835 cases since the pandemic began with 18,659 tests being conducted.

Pembrokeshire has tested 11,045 people with 310 positive cases and Powys has recorded 372 positive cases from 10,124 tests.

Gwynedd has recorded 618 cases from 13,249 tests.

One new death has been recorded in Wales today from Covid-19, taking the nation’s total to 1,594, although the true number is known to be higher.

Of those deaths, 67 have been recorded in the Hywel Dda area of Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, 418 in the Betsi Cadwaladr area of North Wales and 15 in Powys.
