TYWYN is banding together to help a sick five-year-old girl in the United States.

Following on from last week’s Cambrian News article, kind-hearted Tywyn residents have organised a fund-raiser.

Audriana Furneaux’s mum Katy grew up in Tywyn before moving to the USA when she was 16.

Despite having health insurance, Audriana requires private care if she is going to receive the urgent medical attention to treat her condition.

Audriana suffers from several problems with her brain, including swelling and haemorrhages. And, in the last week, she has also been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism.

Katy is thankful for all the help she has received so far. “We have been receiving so many prayers and donations which we are extremely grateful for,” said Katy. “I cannot express how much each and every one has blessed me, but most of all my baby girl Audriana (seen above).

“I wish I could say she is getting better, but her thyroid levels are extremely high so now she has also been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism.”

A raffle and bingo night will be in Neuadd Pendre on 27 November, with doors opening at 7pm.

Llinos Furneaux, Audriana’s grandmother, who still lives in Tywyn, said: “I’d like to thank everyone for organising the bingo, and my niece Rosie Errington for her help. A big thank you to the Tywyn people for their generosity.
