THE Llanbrynmair Show committee will raise funds for Bronglais Hospital’s stroke unit during the village’s annual tractor run.

The third tractor run will take place on Sunday, 4 June, and Gwyndaf Davies, the show chairman, said he hoped it would be as successful as previous events in raising money for Ystwyth Ward.

Last year’s tractor run saw the show committee donate £500 to the Ceredigion Cardiovascular Fund at Bronglais, and Mr Davies said the committee were keen to help good causes as part of the event.

He said: “The tractor run is being held for the third time this year and we hope to build on the successes of the event in 2016, following which £500 was donated to the Ceredigion Cardiovascular Fund at Bronglais Hospital.

“Any tractor, vintage or modern, can take part in the tractor run. The aim of the day is for people to get together, enjoy a tractor drive in our beautiful surroundings whilst also raising money for a good cause and generating extra income for the show committee.”

The event will start from Clegyrddwr in Llanbrynmair with an entry fee of £17, which includes a light lunch.

Anyone wishing to take part is advised to book a place by contacting Mr Davies on 01650 521581 or 07818 646096, or Richard Rees on 01650 521536 or 07771 598625.
