The search is on to find two youngsters to replace Llanuwchllyn actress Lowri Jarman and her TV ‘twin’ Gwern Jones from Caernarfon, who have grown out of their roles on the hit TV show, Deian a Loli.

Lowri, 12, and 11-year-old Gwern are the second set of youngsters to have played the twins but now they too must be replaced, according to producers of the show.

Lowri Jarman, a pupil at Ysgol Godre’r Berwyn in Bala, told the Cambrian News that working on Deian a Loli was “an incredible experience”.

“It was hard work, but it was a lot of fun, and totally worth it,” she said.

“Playing Loli as a character was really fun because of all of the mischief and adventure she gets involved in.

“The highlight for me was the Christmas show because we had snow made out of soap in the air, and it felt magical.”

She added: “I’ve got no immediate plans for the future but I would love to do some more acting.

“Being on Deian a Loli is one of the best things I’ve ever done.”

Production company Cwmni Da is looking for two youngsters to take over the title roles in the Welsh language series.

According to producer Angharad Elen, no previous acting experience is necessary.

Candidates need to send a video of them talking about themselves and those showing promise will be called for an audition.
