What is going on with the Bodlondeb home in Penparcau, Aberystwyth?Ceredigion County Council’s Cabinet decided at its meeting on 28 February to extend the amount of time for interested parties to tender for Bodlondeb.

Extending the time limit will delay any decision until after the council election as a result of purdah (a moratorium on council decisions). Why the extra time?

What can we expect after the election in May? The current Plaid Cymru-led council has had five years to finalise the future of Bodlondeb, and all they have achieved in that time is to leave the patients, staff and the residents of Penparcau in the dark about a residential home that is a much appreciated part of our community. The people of Penparcau deserve better.
