AN UPSET bride has spoken out about her wedding ‘horror’ after a woman’s body was found at her reception venue just hours after she took her vows.
Harriet May Parry, 34, enjoyed a beautiful wedding reception at Plas Talgarth Country Club, Pennal on Friday, 29 September with her husband Denny.
But one of the happiest days of her life was tinged with sadness after a woman, not related to the wedding party, was found dead in the resort.
Police responded to reports of a body at the holiday resort at approximately 10.30am on the morning after the celebrations. It was found that 60-year-old Elizabeth Isherwood from Wolverhampton had died.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
“I was totally shocked upon returning to our venue the morning after our reception to see police cars and tape everywhere,” said Harriet, nee Webb, who was elected to Tywyn Town Council earlier this year.
“It was clear to me that something really serious had happened and my immediate concern lay with the wellbeing of our guests.
“Whilst the bar staff couldn’t really say anything, I have since heard that a poor woman was found dead.
“The police cars were outside the venue for at least 10 hours so the police must have taken the matter seriously.”
