On Saturday, the Kennel Field in Llanidloes filled with people eager to see the enormous bonfire and watch the £1,000 worth of fireworks laid on by Rotary Club members.

They were not disappointed.

Ivan Evans set the huge bonfire ablaze and the heat blasted through the crowds as they turned to watch a dazzling display of fireworks.

At the very end there was a huge downpour of rain, but the gathering were well pleased with their show, orchestrated by the Llanidloes Rotary Club and sponsored by Morris Marshall & Poole and Llani Leisure.

All proceeds collected in buckets go to good causes.
