Madam,
I’ve just seen your article on the sale of the magistrates court at Dolgellau (‘Shock sale of court for measly £45,000’, last week’s Cambrian News).
Maybe your readers would support a call to the local MP for an enquiry into the agents handling the sale.
I myself was an interested party and made several attempts to view.
Indeed on one occasion I’d travelled all the way there only to find myself and another gentleman who had travelled from London also waiting for the agent.
Only after phoning the office in Manchester did I find out they were not coming to open for the viewing. I tried even after this to arrange viewings but the agent couldn’t accommodate any.
It’s simply a disgrace that a public asset can be disposed of in such a way. My willingness on price was much higher than what they have sold it for and I’m a Welsh speaker.
Yours etc,
J B Bithell, Conwy.
