AN INQUEST has been opened after the body of a Llanilar man was found at his home.

The body of 43-year-old Gareth Clifford Raif Shelley was found on Friday, 22 April at his home in the village.

A student at Aberystwyth university’s IBERS campus, Mr Shelley moved to the area in January this year from Newtown on the Isle of Wight.

Ceredigion coroner Peter Brunton opened an inquest into Mr Shelley’s death on Monday, 25 April.

Evidence of identification was taken and the inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
