AN investigation has been launched after two kittens were found dumped in a tied-up plastic bag in Porthmadog over the weekend.
RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after the two black and white kittens were discovered after their cries were heard.
They were found in the bin near the Harbour Master’s Office in Porthmadog on Sunday morning (26 June) at around 9.30am.
RSPCA inspector Mark Roberts said: “The kittens are about seven to eight weeks-old and are in good health.
“They have now been taken into our care and are doing well despite their awful ordeal.
“It is just shocking what has happened. These kittens must have been so frightened when they were left in this bin and in a tied plastic bag.
“We’re investigating this incident and we urge anyone with any information to contact us on the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018. Calls are treated in confidence.”
