An investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Llanbedrog.

The Health and Safety Executive said it is making initial enquiries with the police, following an incident yesterday morning where a man died following a fall.

North Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service attended.

A spokesperson for the Health and Safety Executive said: “HSE is aware of the incident and is making initial enquiries with the police.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a property in Llanbedrog, Pwllheli at 9.34am yesterday to reports of a person with traumatic injuries following a fall. We responded with two emergency ambulances and our Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer service.”

A police spokesperson said: "North Wales Police were called at 10.45am on 18 March following reports of an incident on a building renovation site in Llanbedrog. Sadly, a 50-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are currently investigating jointly with the Health and Safety Executive and the coroner has been informed."
