Madam,
At 12.45pm on Thursday, 5 October, I drove to Tregerddan in Bow Street to visit a friend.
As I entered the home, I saw a resident who I last saw as a resident at Bodlondeb Care Home in Penparcau.
She was leaning on her walking frame cross, red in the face, and there were three members of staff from Tregerddan with her. She said on several occasions that she wanted to go back to Bodlondeb. Was it necessary to move her from Bodlondeb to Tregerddan before the decision as to the future of Bodlondeb had not been finalised?
Theresa May, Carwyn Jones, do you agree with me that there should be an enquiry regarding the situation I witnessed? Can a resident in a public home be moved before consultation is finalised, without her approval. Is this in the public interest?
I hope the eight Cabinet members in Ceredigion County Council who will have the final decision regarding the future of Bodlondeb Residential Care home will have an investigation, internally, over the process of moving residents from one Ceredigion County Council-run home to another before the consultation comes to an end.
Yours etc,
D A Thomas, Llwyn yr Eos, Penparcau, Aberystwyth.
