While I’m generally in favour of art and education, spending £200,000 on a representation of the night sky seems an extravagant way to introduce people to the wonders of the universe.

Any smartphone can access images of the night sky, at no cost. How much better it would be to experience the night sky itself although that would not be from a location alongside a large caravan site and just outside a town!

With our planet facing the crisis of climate change, rather than looking to the stars (like Branson, Bezos and Musk) we should be focusing our attention closer to home and the actions we can take to care for our environment.

The walled garden at Ynysymaengwyn could be planted with fruit trees, providing not just an educational resource more relevant to everyday life but also a supply of healthy food.
