THIS year, the talented children of Aberystwyth Arts Centre Stage School are staging a performance of Annie Jr in the Great Hall.

On Friday and Saturday, 29 and 30 June, over 75 children will take part in the musical, which they have been working towards over the past five months in their regular Saturday stage school classes.

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie (played by Kimmi Westbury) charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City.

Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan (Anneliese Burghardt).

Will Annie eventually foil Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations?

Will billionaire Oliver Warbucks (Dylan Sullivan), his personal secretary Grace Farrell (Olivia Kularatne), and a lovable mutt named Sandy (Ella Rees) be able to help her?

Find out in this classic and popular musical directed by Barrie Stott, with musical direction by Rae Lewis and choreography by Charlotte Davies.

Aberystwyth Arts Centre’s Creative Learning team wished to thank the staff and volunteers who have made the show possible, and to the parents for their continued support and commitment.
