TWO tiny kittens have been found “carelessly abandoned” in a Dolgellau park.

RSPCA Cymru has launched an appeal for information after the two kittens, aged between five and six weeks old, were found alone in the Pen Caeau area of the town on Wednesday (1 November).

A member of the public found the two ginger kittens, thought to be aged between five and six weeks old, who were lucky to escape their ordeal with their life.

The kittens appeared lethargic when discovered but, fortunately, were found to be healthy upon veterinary inspection. They are now in the care of the RSPCA.

RSPCA Cymru is urging anyone in the local area with information to contact the charity’s inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.

Ann Lloyd Williams, RSPCA animal collection officer, said: “These poor defenceless kittens were found dumped in a cardboard box in the Pen Caeau area of Dolgellau.

“Thankfully, a member of the public found them and notified us. Though the kittens are likely to have been very frightened by the ordeal, veterinary inspection fortunately found them to be fit and healthy.

“Somebody must know something about how these two ginger kittens ended up being carelessly abandoned like this. Anyone with any information is urged to contact our inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018. Calls are treated in confidence.”
