THE group behind a land share scheme in the Dyfi Valley is hoping to get more landowners and growers involved across the area.
Dyfi Land Share looks to match up landowners who are prepared to allow a grower to use their land to grow fruit and vegetables.
The scheme operates across the Dyfi Valley, even stretching as far as Aberystwyth, Aberdyfi, Dinas Mawddwy and Carno, with Dyfi Land Share matching up potential partners, helping draw up a land agreement and offering public liability insurance.
Organisers said they were keen to help increase the number of people benefitting from being part of the scheme.
A spokesperson said: “At Dyfi Land Share we promote local food production in the Dyfi Valley by matching people who want to grow with available land.
“Landowners can contact us to loan their land to the project. We offer landowners support to make land agreements and a match with a suitable, and insured, grower. Growers can contact us to be matched to land.
“For a small yearly membership fee we can match people to a growing plot, support them in making a land agreement, mediate between them and the landowner and offer public liability insurance.”
