Madam,

As a visitor from Kent I noted with interest the debate around the Foodhall sign outside the new Aberystwyth M&S store. I also noticed a different Welsh spelling there.

To me ‘Lifts’ are ‘Lifts’, but in my hotel they were also ‘liftiau’ and in the M&S store they were called ‘Liffts’.

I am just wondering if both are acceptable as I’m told Welsh may vary from south to north?
