It was with dismay, but no surprise, that I read the letter “prom markings are needed” in the Cambrian News. The image came to mind of inmates exercising in a prison yard!

Logical thinking is a casualty of the scaremongering being perpetuated by the media. We know that really only the obese or elderly are at risk and even then it has a less than one per cent fatality rate.

There’s a much higher chance of dying from diabetes, heart disease or cancer yet so many people are terrified and see all other humans as a threat to life.

Health secretary Matt Hancock even admitted that the death toll had been exaggerated, yet still so many are having their lives blighted and controlled by fear and paranoia.
