THE FEBRUARY magazine for the four parishes in the Llanbadarn Fawr Benefice came out last Sunday and is full of information relating to church services and other activities in the benefice. It is available at the back of the church. Sunday, 7 February, is Quinquagesima Sunday, the Sunday next before the Solemn Season of Lent begins. Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent, is on Wednesday, 10 February. Services next Sunday will be: 8am, Holy Communion using the 1984 red book setting; 10am, Boreol Weddi; and 11.15am, Sung Matins led by the choir. On Ash Wednesday there will be a bilingual Sung Eucharist with appropriate anthem from the choir at 7pm. Each Wednesday morning throughout Lent, Holy Communion will be celebrated in the Lady Chapel at 10am. Morning Prayer will also be said in the Lady Chapel at 8.45am, Monday to Friday, throughout Lent. Evening prayer will also be said on Monday to Wednesday at 6pm.
