On Thursday, 8 October, members gathered in the New Inn at lunchtime for the annual harvest lunch.

Chairman Margaret Howells welcomed everyone to the event before they were treated to a buffet lunch, with a wide of choice of savouries, succulent meats and fresh poached salmon, salads, delicious puds and a wide selection of cheeses.

Following the meal, members took part in a quiz where the answers were towns in the British Isles.

Several members had kindly provided prizes for the raffle which was drawn with the proceeds going to the club funds.

Margaret reminded everyone about the November meeting, when the speaker will be Roger Griffiths with a presentation entitled The Great War Centenary. Venues were then discussed for the Christmas lunch which will be held in December. The Daffodil was chosen. Sue will contact the restaurant to make arrangements.

Any senior citizens from the area who would like to join the club are welcome.
