LAST Monday evening was the AGM.

It was a nice easy one this year as nearly all the officers were staying on in their positions. It was reported that the group’s fi-nances were good, they had some new members and the programme for the coming year looked very interesting.

The president thanked everyone for their work and members thanked her for all her hard work and wished her better health from now on.The speaker for the evening was Dinah Gibbons from Bwlchllan WI who spoke about her collection of glass paperweights.

She gave a very interesting talk, thanks to her sense of humour, telling stories behind every piece she had brought with her, remembering where and how she had acquired them all. She was thanked by the members. The evening was rounded off with a cup of tea and a delicious spread provided by all the members.
