Carol service
ON CHRISTMAS Eve, the restaurant bar at Y Ffarmers in Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn was full, not because everyone was having a Christmas meal, but because they were singing carols. Across the road, in the parish church, water was running in through the tower and via the electrics, and the building had to be closed temporarily for safety. The parishioners decided that some water was not going to stop them celebrating Christmas, so a carol service was held in Y Ffarmers instead. The celebration included singing carols, listening to the Christmas story and praying for people in need. It was warm and cosy, and Esther and Rhodri, the owners, made everyone very welcome. Thanks were given to them for enabling this carol service to take place and helping the village to celebrate Christmas together.
