MEMBERS met at Ysgol y Dderi on 4 December under the chairmanship of Janet farrow. A very informative afternoon was spent in the company of Sue Wellings, the guest speaker, who spoke and demonstrated various aids and gadgets that are available to assist elderly and disabled people to live independently in their own homes as long as possible. Rita Jones gave a very appreciative vote of thanks to the guest speaker for a very worthwhile hour. Raffle winners were Sue Wellings, Joyce Harris, Maisie Morgans, Jill Smith, Betty Luckyer, Sally Davies, Janet Courtney and Barry Williams. The tea hostesses were Janet Farrow and Joyce Harris. The next meeting will be at the Castle Hotel on January 8 for the new year’s lunch at 12.30pm. Names to the secretary if not already submitted as soon as possible. Remember to bring a gift for exchanging of presents.
