A GROUP of Llanidloes pupils travelled to NPT Llandarcy Academy of Sport on Monday, 25 January, to attend the launch of the Seren Network - Supporting Wales’ Brightest.The Seren Network has been created by the Welsh Government to support Wales’ brightest students in achieving their academic potential. Offering a range of academic activities, the Seren hub has been created to provide students with the knowledge, experience and support to help them make successful applications to the top universities.

After a welcome from speakers of the NPTC group and Welsh Government the pupils attended a number of seminars, ranging from law to chemistry, and medicine to critical thinking skills. The launch was addressed by Huw Lewis AM, minister for education.
