A LLYN motorcycle club is gearing up for its annual challenge in a bid to raise money for charity.

Beicwyr Llyn Bikers Motorbike Club will hold its ninth annual fundraising day on Sunday, 22 April, and this year’s ride will be in aid of Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice.

The bikers have in the last eight years raised a staggering £43,000 for good causes and organisers hope this year’s ride will raise a healthy sum.

A spokesperson for the group said: “The good cause chosen for 2018 by the club is Ty Gobaith Hospice. We hope to again this year, with the support of family and friends, be able to raise a fair amount for this very good cause.

“If you could donate anything towards the fundraiser – vouchers, presents, meals, tools, days out – anything would be gratefully accepted. Every penny raised will be given to the Ty Gobaith cause."

“We have for the last eight years run a fundraising day raising money for a good cause. The day usually consists of a starting point at Y Maes, Pwllheli followed by a motorbike ride around selected areas of Gwynedd," they added.

“So the theme this year is the teddy bear and multi colours, so to join the fun, bring your teddy along for the ride.”

This year the riders will be heading to Snowdonia Parc Inn, Waunfawr and Llanrug from Pwllheli, setting off at 9.30am on Sunday, 22 April.
