Despite sitting on the Glebelands’ application for over eight months, Ceredigion planners still appear to be unable to differentiate between two very important issues - the right to light, and a resident’s right to a view.
In this instance , the objector’s detached house enjoys a very much elevated position with commanding views over the surrounding area. The horticultural greencrop field adjoining is at a considerably lower level, therefore, there can be no question of the crops or the structures in the field impairing the projection of light to the house from any angle.
Planners have in my opinion exceeded their powers in stipulating the condition of erecting a new hedge.
‘Rwyf yn siwr nad oes yr un darn o dir yn yr holl ardal yn fwy cynhyrchiol erbyn hyn na chae fferm lysiau organig y Glebelands ar ochr y ffordd fawr rhwng Aberteifi a Llandudoch, ac mae yn peri loes dybryd i mi fod y cynghorydd lleol wedi dewis ochri yn erbyn, a diystyri gwaith arloesol perchnogion y ‘Gleblands’ wrth iddynt adfywio tyfu a gwerthu llysiau organig i bobol lleol. Pam hynny?
Mae aros bron i ddeufis arall, hyd at Chwefror neu Mawrth i glywed eu tynged gan y Cyngor, hefyd yn annerbyniol.
Pa ryfedd fod y Sir mor ddifreintiedig mewn gwaith a swyddi.
Lyn Evans Llandudoch
