A mystery lottery winner from Ceredigion has come forward to collect their prize.

Camelot UK, operators of the National Lottery, confirmed this morning that a winning ticket bought in Ceredigion on 7 February that scooped £1 million has been claimed following a public appeal.

A spokesperson for Camelot UK Lotteries Limited said in a statement: “The National Lottery is pleased to announce that the £1,000,000 UK Millionaire Maker prize from the EuroMillions draw on 7 February – which had previously remained outstanding from a ticket bought in Ceredigion – has now been claimed.

“Unless the winner of a major National Lottery prize opts to take full publicity and signs an agreement to that effect, no further information can be released about their win.”

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery said, “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win. It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this life-changing amount of money.

“During the current crisis, we’d like to encourage as many players as possible to check their tickets and play online or on the National Lottery app, and to only buy their tickets in retail or claim a retail prize if they are already in-store to do an essential shop.”

EuroMillions Millionaire Maker guarantees to create a millionaire in every draw. For every EuroMillions line played, UK players automatically receive a EuroMillions Millionaire Maker code printed on their ticket.
