A FALLEN tree has partially blocked the A487 near Chancery causing severe tailbacks in both directions.

The road is just passable at the Lon Rhydygwin junction.

Motorists attempting a diversion on the A485 to the B4576 have also caused congestion on that route.

Police said they were advised of the tree blocking the road at around 12.30pm today.

Diversions are now in place and a work crew from Ceredigion Council are in attendance to remove the tree.
