CHILDREN in Minffordd will soon be able to boast a new community playground thanks to a “mammoth partnership effort”.
Residents between Porthmadog and Penrhyndeudraeth will also benefit from the new play facility.
In a joint venture between Penrhyndeudraeth Town Council and Minffordd Improvement Society, funds have already been earmarked to landscape and prepare the ground ready for children’s equipment to be ordered in preparation for the warmer months.
Villagers and children were able to meet in the park on Saint David’s Day in order to gather their views on the type of equipment they would like and to hear what the plans are for the new piece of land kindly released back to the community by Portmeirion in the centre of the village.
