A TYWYN fundraiser has raised even more money for a charity following two events.
Mark Edwards, who has the rare genetic condition Phenylketonuria, has already raised thousands of pounds through a range of events to help fellow sufferers.
He is raising money for the National Society for Phenylketonuria.
He is keen to raise awareness of the rare congenital condition that leaves people unable to break down the amino acid phenylalanine.
At its worst, phenylalanine can build up in the body and blood and lead to brain damage.
In his latest effort Mark has played in a charity celebrity football match and successfully took part in the Manchester 10k.
“The football match with the celebs and the run was fantastic, it’s good to get the awareness out there,” said Mark, who works at Brighter Foods in Tywyn.
“The Manchester run raised £307.50 with gift aid and more donations are promised and the celeb football match raised £210.”
Mark said the most memorable aspect of the latest fundraisers was “seeing all the celebs support the condition.
“The turn out was great,” he said. “But not only that, people have also promised to do what they can in the future to help out.”
