TWO DOG handlers from Meirionnydd and their pets are taking part in the World’s biggest canine show this month.

On Friday 11 March, Sally Friswell from Bryncrug (pictured on the left) and Ginny Davies from Penmaenpool (right) are taking part in the acclaimed Crufts dog show at the NEC Birmingham.

Both women are members of local dog training club, Dysynni Dogs.

Sally will be taking Wyn her 18-month-old working Cocker Spaniel whereas Ginny will be joined by Ben, her nine-year-old working Labrador.

Both dogs have been chosen from dogs all across the country to take part in the Good Citizens dog scheme display at the show.

The scheme is run by the Kennel Club and promotes responsible dog ownership and training from puppy classes to a Gold Award.

The two dogs will taking part in a demonstration of achievement at Bronze Standard.
