A GROUP of Llyn motorcycle enthusiasts will hit the road this weekend to raise money for Blood Bikes Wales.

Llyn Bikers Motorbike Club will hold their eighth annual fund-raiser on Sunday, 2 April, starting their ride at 11am from Y Maes, Pwllheli, and concluding at The Nanhoron Hotel in Nefyn at 5pm.

This year sees the club raising money for Blood Bikes North West Wales, a regional section of the national charity which voluntarily transports lifesaving blood across Wales overnight and at weekends to save NHS Wales money.

Last year the club raised £4,432 for Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team in Nant Peris, bringing the total raised for various charities and good causes over the years to £37,783.70.
