I would like to take the opportunity through your letters page to express my gratitude to the ambulance service and Bronglais Hospital.

My wife suddenly became ill at home recently. A 999 call got a very prompt response from the ambulance service, and two female paramedics worked on her at the scene. They stabilised her and then treated her in the ambulance before transporting her to Bronglais Hospital. On arrival it was all systems go. Her treatment was carried out with the minimum of fuss and the maximum of sensitivity and efficiency. In a relatively short period of time, she was made comfortable and placed in intensive care.

She has now recovered and was back home with her family for Christmas. Her life was under threat and her recovery lies with the skill and professionalism of the ambulance service and the staff of Bronglais Hospital. Sincere thanks to all concerned.
