Concerns have been raised after parts of a timber walkway and fence posts along the beach in Pwllheli disappeared.

A whole section of fencing and some pathways have disappeared from the beach at Marian y De, and one town councillor suspects foul play.

Town councillor Alan Williams raised concerns, saying: “The paths and fences seem to have been missing for around a month, maybe longer.

“From what I can see, it looks like someone has come along, undone the bolts and stolen the wooden planks.

“Someone must have seen these fence posts getting taken. They are heavy and would have needed a van or bigger to move them.

“These paths and fences are important to protect the sand dunes.

“It is a real shame that someone has come along and stolen these fence posts and paths. It is incredibly irresponsible.”
