O DDRWS i Ddrws runs a bus service from Llyn to Ysbyty Gwynedd every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for £1 each way. It was originally a three-month project, which started in November, but due to its success and regular use the service will continue. The bus starts out from Llyn to arrive at Ysbyty Gwynedd, convenient for visiting time between 1.30pm and 2.30pm. It will pick up from various villages around the Llyn. ROEDD gwasanaeth bore Sul, 31 Ionawr, dan ofal Vera, Beryl, Carys a’u plant a chafwyd gwasanaeth graenus iawn ganddynt ar y testun ‘Blwyddyn Newydd – Dechrau Newydd’ gyda Beti Wyn Jones wrth yr organ. Pregethwyd yng nghyfarfod yr hwyr gan y Parch Olwen Wiliams, Tudweiliog, ar yr adnod: “Safwch ar y ffyrdd, edrychwch ac ymofyn am yr hen lwybrau. Y pe bynnag y cewch ffordd dda, rhodiwch ynddi ac fe gewch le i orffwys.”Janet Wyn Hughes oedd wrth yr organ.

Ladies Club

THE CLUB enjoyed an interesting talk on 4 February from Buddug Jones, accompanied by Jacquie Hughes Jones, about Guide Dogs for the Blind. Buddug’s six-year-old guide dog, Freya, also joined them and behaved beautifully throughout the evening.The next meeting will be on Thursday, 18 February, when Menna Jones will talk about card-making.

Pensioners Club

THE AGM was held at Y Ganolfan on Tuesday, 2 February.Mrs B W Jones welcomed members and sent best wishes to members unable to attend. She wished Griff Jones and Jane Roberts a speedy recovery.She also referred to the recent death of Miss N Trenholme, who had been a faithful member of the club for many years. The sympathy of the club was expressed to the family. The election of officers then took place. Mrs B W Jones was re-elected as chair; Mrs V Brown was re-elected as treasurer; Mrs B L Jones was not standing for re-election; and Mrs E Poole was elected secretary.Mrs B W Jones thanked Mrs B L Jones for her many years as secretary. The committee was unchanged.The next meeting will be the annual dinner at the Nanhoron Hotel on Tuesday, 1 March, from 12.30pm for 1pm.Members wishing to attend should give names and payment to Mrs B W Jones as soon as possible.

Charity fund-raising

THERE will be a Shop to Drop clothes sales event held in the Nanhoron Hotel on Tuesday night, 23 February, at 7pm to raise funds for Nefyn nursery group and Edern nursery group.Tickets are £5 each available from nursery parents or you can call 07769 695792 to order tickets.There will also be a raffle. There is no pressure to buy, visitors can just enjoy the social evening. For all those who helped with the Rotary Santa over the Christmas period, there will be a presentation in Plas Heli on Friday, 26 February, at 6.30pm. It is an open invitation.
