PWLLHELI shoppers queued for more than an hour to be the first to visit the new St David’s Hospice store in the town.
The town’s mayor, Cllr Michael Sol Owen, cut the ribbon and officially opened the high-street store, which seemed to prove a hit with the town’s shoppers.
Funds from the new store will help towards providing end-of-life care to adult patients and supporting those closest to them.
Chief executive of St David’s Hospice, Trystan Pritchard said: “We are really grateful to the community for its support.
“St David’s Hospice is keen to ensure high-quality end-of-life care is available locally and all profits from the Pwllheli shop will be re-invested into services for the area."
