It is well known that the police are here to protect us, and the majority of people would be pleased by their presence.

However their visit to pubs in the Meirionnydd area didn’t go well, with abuse being shown to them, with some drinkers obviously under the influence.

This is no excuse for this behaviour, and I’m sure if these people wanted help they would be glad of it.

We should all be glad of the police being there for us. And giving them a pat on the back is a small price to pay for their continued support.
