DOLGELLAU continued its three weeks of romance over the weekend with a treasure hunt with a difference.

Shoppers were invited to search the town’s shops to track down a special red glass heart.

Those who found a heart were then entered into a prize draw to win a hamper of products donated by local businesses.

All proceeds from this and the other events during Love Dolgellau’s Cyfnod Cariad will go to Calonnau Cymru – the heart charity for Wales - raising money to buy defibrillators, which are then positioned in towns across the area.

Pictured are members of Love Dolgellau together with Nick Aitken of Calonnau Cymru as they present the hamper to the winner of the draw, Marian Rees of Tal-y-llyn. The mayor of Dolgellau also presented a cheque for £50 to the charity.
