Madam,

The speed limit through Llanon is 30mph, and 20mph at specific times during school term time. Now that statement is the bald truth - simple. Yes?

Well, according to one driver today (Monday), I am becoming a ‘thorn in the side of Llanon’ - but as long as animals are being killed and pedestrians are suffering ‘near misses’ along Bridge Street, I shall continue to be that thorn.

Just because an appointment or destination time is delayed, is not an excuse for excess speed - only the emergency services have that right.

The locals I speak to tell me that they too remonstrate with speeding drivers, so I know that I’m not alone. It’s not a lot to ask is it, to heed the speed limit?
