CHARITY car-washers were delighted to receive a tenor last weekend.
Welsh opera legend Sir Bryn Terfel, who grew up in Pant Glas, was among the dozens of happy customers at a joint fundraising car wash organised by Criccieth RNLI and Porthmadog firefighters.
A spokesperson for the RNLI said Bryn wanted to show his support for the emergency services and added: “He gave us a song while we washed his car!”
A total of £450 was raised at the event held in Porthmadog which will be shared between Criccieth Lifeboat Station and The Fire Fighters Charity.
