The community-led wildlife charity, Bywyd Gwyllt Glaslyn Wildlife, has re-opened the doors to Pont Croesor Visitor Centre this week.

It will then be open daily from 10am until 5pm until the ospreys leave in September.

A team of knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to tell the story of the Glaslyn ospreys, answer questions and help visitors use the telescopes to get a close-up view of the nest.

Live images from the osprey nest will be broadcast directly to the Visitor Centre.

As well as breeding ospreys during spring and summer, there is also the chance to see other wildlife, such as red kites, peregrine falcons, hen and marsh harriers or even otters.

The resident female osprey, Mrs G, was first discovered breeding at the nest in 2004 and everyone is keeping their fingers crossed that she will return for her 16th successive breeding season.

The male osprey, Aran, joined Mrs G in 2015 when the original male failed to return from his winter migration.

To date, Mrs G has hatched 40 live chicks, 36 of which have successfully fledged the nest.
