‘Thank you’ is inadequate to express my gratitude to the staff of Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth. The care and attention given to my husband Alex before, during and after an extremely complicated surgical procedure was outstanding.

The skill, dedication and perseverance of the surgeon, Mr Lavim, and his team undoubtedly saved his life, when it became apparent that what should have been a 25-minute operation lasted several hours due to unforeseen complications.

All the units involved in his care, the Clinical Decision Unit, ICU and Ceredig ward have been excellent.I feel it is imperative to keep such life-saving services in Aberystwyth for the health and well being of the local population.
