THIS year, over 100 swimmers ventured into the sea at New Quay on New Year’s Day to raise money for charity.

During the event the local Cancer Research Committee held a bucket collection to raise funds for the charity from amongst the swimmers and the large crowd of supporters.

The swimmers were watched over by the New Quay Inshore Lifeboat crew.

The organisers thanked all the swimmers who took part and the lifeboat crew for supporting the event.
