Madam,
The restrictions, confined to the area with the newly painted single yellow line under the parking restriction signs are for between 11pm and 8am. This will not act as much of a deterrent for people bringing their campervans and caravans into Borth to sleep by the roadside overnight.
The imposed restrictions to the recently marked area are from 11pm to 8am. However, the other roadside parking restricted areas in Borth are from either 9am to 6pm or 9am to 7pm.
This will legally allow people to park their campervans and caravans overnight in some areas i.e they could leave the beach-side parking area by 11pm and park on any single line parking restricted area until between 8am and 9am and return to the beach-side wall area until 11pm again.
Alternatively they could park on the other side of the road, opposite the campervan and caravan restricted areas, where a majority of the roadside has no parking restrictions at all, thus providing a 24-hour parking facility in Borth High Street for all vehicles including campervans and caravans.
Yours etc, Phil Turner-Wright Dôl-y-Bont.
