A GENEROUS family have donated a captivating painting to a charity shop which they have links with.
The striking artwork is by the late Colin Palmer, an acclaimed artist who spent many years working in Meirionnydd, whose widow Norma volunteered at the Barnardo’s Cymru shop in Porthmadog for 15 years.
The artwork will be auctioned in aid of vulnerable children and their families.
Store manager Stella Parker, said: “Norma helped us out for many years and we are very grateful that the family have now given us this generous gift to help us once again in our work with children, young people and families.”
The painting is now on show at the shop on High Street and will be sold via silent auction. Bids will be taken until 17 December.
